Thank you for joining me as I chronicle my likely topsy-turvy journey with Stage III triple negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC)! Before you start clicking and reading, I think it's only fair to give you, my fair reader, a couple of disclaimers so you know exactly what rabbit hole you're diving down:

1) While I will likely write predominantly about my experiences with cancer and my treatment, I may throw in some posts that are non-cancer related just to keep things lively.
2) I will sometimes be irreverent, potty-mouthed and even blasphemous. Additionally, I'm not one to shy away from the (sometimes) gory details that may come up with treatment. I may also turn philosophical or go on a rant. Essentially, I will be mercurial. If anything I write offends your sensibilities and you have the urge to troll, then please kindly click the "x" at the top right of the page instead.

ABOUT ME
Those who know me know that I hate being the center of attention and therefore loath writing an "About Me" section, but I guess they're not the ones it's for. So here goes! Like everyone else out there, I'm a host of contradictions. I'm a dreamer and a realist. I'm a romantic at heart but super practical on a day-to-day basis. I'm a wanderer who loves to make "home" different parts of the country and the world. I'm an incredibly loyal person who is forever baffled by the concept of favorites - why limit yourself to one of anything when there's so much variety that fulfills you in different ways? I'm super sarcastic and super sincere (not that those two are opposites of each other). I aim to live life gracefully but with a sense of humor (hence "adashofsass"). In the end, I hope you get to know me through this blog and that it provide you the depth of insight that I simply cannot here.
